About Us

We would like to present Naberauli, a wine full of history. According to a legend, its history dates back to the 17th-18th centuries, when the Georgian valley fought against the enemy; meanwhile, in the mountains, works of art and the most important thing for a Georgian man - a vine - were fled.

It seems that the ancestors of the Georgians knew from the beginning that wine would be the business card with which Georgia would present itself to the whole world in the future.

It was in the mountains of Racha, secretly from the enemy, that the monks brought grapes to the pristine lands. The monks cared for the unique grape varieties throughout the summer, picking and crushing them on any sunny and golden autumn day. Only the remains of the monks' cellars are preserved in this place, and the history itself has long been forgotten. Nevertheless, with the help of the local people, the abandoned story of very Rachian wine was revived; and the wine was named Naberauli in honor of its creators.

The history of "Naberauli Wines" LLC begins in the fall of 2018, when a vintage was held in the vineyards owned by the company in the village of Sadmeli in Racha. The first crop was harvested at another company’s factory and bottled into wine. The harvest of the first year was only Khvanchkara, due to the fact that only Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli vines were cultivated in the above mentioned territory. The goal at that time was not really the wide sale of wine and the first appraisers of the delicious Khvanchkara were just a friend circle and local winemakers. It was after the positive feedback that it was decided to build a factory owned by the company and to cultivate more vineyards and consequently, more grape varieties in Sadmeli area.

The mission of "Naberauli" is to preserve and develop the diversity of Georgian wine, unique and rarest Georgian vine varieties; increase the awareness of Rachian unique wines on both Georgian and international markets.

Georgian and foreign consumers know only Khvanchkara from the rarest types of Rachian wine. However, this region has a lot to say to Georgia and the world about wine. By restoring the forgotten customs of Racha winemaking and constantly searching for the past or experiments, "Naberauli" creates a unique taste of real Rachian wine. Interesting and distinctive style labels tell about the traditions characteristic for this part of the country. Under the "Naberauli" brand, a wide range of real Rachian wines with the rarest varieties are packed, which will compete with the famous wines of other parts of Georgia.
