• Ana Dokhnadze – The Winemaker Behind Naberauli Wines

In 2023, Naberauli welcomed a new winemaker to its team – Ana Dokhnadze, who brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience gained in Germany’s renowned Rheingau region, at Geisenheim University.

Ana strives to strike a balance between tradition and innovation to represent Naberauli with dignity on both local and international markets. Her professionalism, natural approach, and dedication to preserving regional identity result in wines that not only deserve recognition but also embody the unique soul of the region. Naberauli’s wines are crafted from grape varieties native to the Racha and Lechkhumi regions.

“For me, the foundation of high-quality wine begins in the vineyard. As a member of the Naberauli family, I aim to support the development of our vineyards. My priority is to implement smart practices in vineyard management that promote healthy vine growth and enable the production of premium wines.

My goal is to showcase the uniqueness of the Racha-Lechkhumi terroir in our premium wines by reviving the region’s indigenous grape varieties. I believe that combining traditional methods with modern technologies — and treating each grape variety individually — will only strengthen our winemaking culture. I want to offer wine lovers a product that unites heritage and quality,” says Ana.

  • Another International Recognition for Naberauli Wines

Naberauli is a premium wine brand based in the Racha region of Georgia, proudly representing Georgian winemaking on the international stage. With limited production, a deep connection to terroir, and a blend of traditional and modern techniques, each bottle of Naberauli wine offers a distinctive identity and consistent quality.

At the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) — one of the most influential platforms in the global wine industry — Naberauli’s 2023 vintage Tsolikouri, crafted using the classic method, was awarded a Gold Medal, while the 2023 Tvishi received a Bronze Medal.

Additionally, at the MUNDUS VINI 2025 Spring Tasting, one of the world’s most respected wine competitions that brings together hundreds of wine experts and sommeliers, Naberauli received four medals:

    • Tsolikouri Reserve 2020 – Gold Medal

    • Rachuli Mtsvane 2023 – Gold Medal

    • Aleksandrouli Classic 2023 – Silver Medal

    • Aleksandrouli Reserve 2022 – Silver Medal

These awards once again affirm that Naberauli is driven by a commitment to high quality, the ambition to highlight Racha-Lechkhumi on the global wine map, and a mission to share the region’s unique terroir with a wider audience.

  • A New Look for Naberauli – Racha-Lechkhumi’s Distinctive Character in Every Bottle

Naberauli, a boutique winery offering authentic Georgian wines made from endemic grape varieties of Racha-Lechkhumi, now comes in an even more elegant and refined bottle design.

Located in one of Georgia’s oldest winemaking regions, Naberauli is dedicated to reviving and preserving ancient and nearly forgotten grape varieties, such as the rare Rachuli Mtsvane.

What makes the brand unique is not only its rare assortment of premium wines, but also its commitment to knowledge-sharing and cultural preservation. Naberauli’s wines are crafted from varieties including Aleksandrouli, Mujuretuli, Saperavi, Dzelshavi, Tsolikouri, Usakhelouri, and Rachuli Mtsvane.

The soils and unique microclimate of the Racha region naturally shape the semi-sweet wines that this area is known for—bringing balanced acidity, refined aromas, and elegant structure. Due to its low yields, Racha is celebrated for producing small quantities of high-quality wines.

“Our mission remains unchanged: to highlight the unique character of our terroir through a fusion of traditional methods and innovative techniques, and to create premium wines that reflect the richness of our heritage. Each bottle of Naberauli tells the story of Georgia’s breathtaking Racha-Lechkhumi region. Our 2023 vintages, now presented in newly designed bottles, bring this story to life in an even more refined way,” – states the company.

Naberauli wines are available at 8000 Mosavali, Alcorium, Veli Store, and across the HoReCa sector. Internationally, they can be found in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
